What's the difference between what's known as a "Custom Cake" vs a "True Custom Cake"?

Many bakeries let you choose colour, flavour or shape, but the design often ends up like everyone else's cake. At Cakey Cakes, your cake begins with your story, is made just for you and becomes a highlight of the celebration.

Many cake businesses use the word “custom” to describe something like this:

Customisable cake

  • -You choose from a small range of existing designs.
  • -You can change the colour, add a message, maybe select a flavour.
  • -The cake leads, and you follow.

That is a great option when you want something beautiful and straightforward.

Truly custom cake

  • -You start with the person you are celebrating.
  • -The design follows them: their style, humour, achievements, favourite flavours, and story.
  • -You lead, and the cake becomes your way of saying, “This is so you.”

That is what I make at Cakey Cakes.
